Football All-District Selections

The Jourdanton football playoff pages are being rerun on pages 4 and 5 as keepsakes. Errors occurred on the pages last week. We regret the errors.

Squaws fall at Fredericksburg

Jourdanton’s girls basketball took a 54-36 loss on the road against Fredericksburg. The Squaws (3-3) trailed 35-14 at halftime. Erin Soward led the team with 13 points. Nine-year-old twins Cannon and Coen Williams with their proud father Caleb after the two boys killed their first deer in November. The boys shot down the deer 30 minutes apart on the same day on the Wheeler Ranch in Tilden. Both deer had eight points. Sheyanne Luckman killed a buck from 60 yards away on Nov. 14. The deer’s live weight was 218 pounds. Buck guides were Doc Vessal and Matt Cardenas.
