Life Skills students beautify Co-Op

On Wednesday, Nov. 5 Mrs. Golub’s Life Skills class at Pleasanton Junior High took part in a planting project at the Atascosa McMullen Co-op. Students learned how to prepare the ground for planting. DONATIONS PRESENTED

Sally Magel, on behalf of St. John Lutheran Church in Jourdanton, recently presented two donations. A $1,000 donation check was given to Rhonda Williamson, Executive Director of Safer Path Family Violence Shelter and $500 was presented to Joni Garcia, Executive Director of CASA of South Texas.

ESPINOZA GRADUATES FROM SA FIRE ACADEMY

Xander Espinoza pins his father, Paul Espinoza, a recent graduate of the San Antonio Fire Department Training Academy. This year’s Cowboy Homecoming Queen election will be held January 25 and 26. If you are interested in running for Cowboy Homecoming Queen, you must attend Pleasanton High School and be a sophomore or junior. Paperwork is available at Pleasanton High School or the Pleasanton Chamber of commerce. The deadline for turning in paperwork is Monday, Jan. 7.
