Workplace Harassment Workshop Aug. 15
10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Pleasanton Civic Center
The City of Pleasanton and EMC Strategy Group will hold a Sexual Harassment Workshop on August 15, 2019, at the Pleasanton Civic Center from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
EMC Strategy Group Owner and Founder Janice M. Gonzalez will lead the presentation. This workshop is open to all local businesses, government entities, and nonprofit organizations.
Janice previously served as a Human Resources Director and has years of professional experience in training employees and managers on tips to prevent workplace harassment.
The workshop will include state and federal guidelines on harassment prevention, awareness, and suggested procedures on responding to sexual harassment complaints.
Under state and federal law, employers and managers are required to ensure that employees work in a harassment free environment. Sexual harassment claims costs employers tens of millions of dollars in civil settlements and judgments annually.
“Our goal is to educate employers and employees on their responsibility in preventing workplace harassment,” says EMC Owner & Founder Janice M. Gonzalez. “This workshop covers a serious topic and we hope employers will take advantage of this training opportunity,” adds Gonzalez.
This workshop is free for all Pleasanton based businesses, government entities, and nonprofits. There is a $10 fee per person for businesses located outside the city. For more information and to register for the workshop, please contact email@example.com or call 210.960.4340, ext. 102.
