The Woman’s Club of Pleasanton recently supported the Leming Volunteer Fire Department with a check for $5,000 to go towards money raised for a grant from the Texas Forest Service. The grant totals $221,000 and a total of $231,000 is needed for the fire department to purchase the tanker zfreightliner. The tanker will be able to carry 4,000 gallons of water. The Leming VFD thanks The Woman’s Club of Pleasanton and everyone else for their continuing support to help them achieve their goal. The fire department needs approximately $10,000 more to meet their goal. They will be having a brisket/sausage plate sale the third Sunday of every month starting back up again in July. They are taking June off for Father’s Day.
