The Wild Bill Cowboy Gallop will not be held this year in conjunction with the 53rd Cowboy Homecoming due to the park being under construction. We will continue the 40-year tradition of the Gallop in June 2019 with the opening of the new Pleasanton River Park. The 2020 Wild Bill Cowboy Gallop will be, once again, held in conjunction with the 54th Cowboy Homecoming next year. Please see ads throughout this issue for all the details about the 53rd Cowboy Homecoming that is packing extra punches of “cowboy” and the ”fun” into Pleasanton’s oldest and most favorite festival. The event will be held at the Atascosa County Show Barn this year.
For the first time, the Wild Bill Cowboy Gallop will have its own web page where runners will be able to register online for the run. Other than those few changes, all the fun of this festive run will be the same. The Pleasanton Express team lead by Hope Garza will be serving up homemade breakfast tacos, tamales, hot sauce and beverages to all registrants plus the first 100 signed up will receive a Wild Bill Gallop t-shirt. Stay tuned for set date and for information on the Wild Bill Cowboy Gallop web page.
