Walter Frank Lowak, lifetime resident of Floresville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 26, 2016, at the age of 71 years, 10 months, 18 days.
Walter was born November 8, 1944, in Floresville, the son of Frank Vincent Lowak and Albina D. Svoboda Lowak. Walter attended Poth High School and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He later worked as a welder, dozer operator and rancher. Walter married his wife, Charleen Pundt Lowak, on October 19, 1985.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Charleen Pundt Lowak of Floresville; his children, Dwayne and Christi Lowak of Kendalia, Bryan Lowak of Floresville, Shara Bond (Joe) of Pleasanton, Scott Lowak of Poteet, and Dustin Lowak of Floresville; his grandchildren, Colten Buendel, Morgan Lynn Lowak, Lane Lowak, Emmalee Bond, Ginger Lowak and Waylon Cash; and his brother, Owen Lowak (Kay) of Lockwood, Missouri.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Albina Lowak; and his brothers, Leon Lowak and Leroy Lowak.
Visitation was held from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, followed by interment at Camp Ranch Cemetery in Wilson County.
Serving as pallbearers were Colten Buendel, Lane Lowak, Michael Lowak, Christopher Lowak, Bryan Lowak, Jay Selby, Tyler Bauer, and Michael Bauer.
