Investigators from the Pleasanton Police Department and members of the District Attorneys Office of the 81st Judicial District presented the case of defendant, Arnoldo Everette Villarreal, age 51 of Pleasanton to a Grand Jury. The defendant, Villarreal was indicted by the Grand Jury on two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, two counts of Indecency by Sexual Contact, one count of Burglary of a Habitation with intent to commit a Felony. Bond for Villarreal was set at $1 million.
Investigators with the Pleasanton Police Department were notified of an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child case in August and began an investigation into the allegations. During the course of the investigation, investigators discovered that the 12-year-old victim had several encounters with the alleged over several months.
The investigation led investigators to establish probable cause to believe Villarreal, committed the First Degree Felony Offenses of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit a Felony, and a Class B Misdemeanor Offense of Criminal Trespass.
Investigators prepared and presented an Affidavit of Probable Cause and Complaints to Pleasanton Municipal Court Judge Elsie Guerra who issued an Arrest Warrant for Villarreal. Pleasanton Police Officers and Investigators located Villarreal at approximately 8:11 p.m., August 3, 2016, near Edgehill and Live Oak Streets in Pleasanton. When Villarreal was taken into custody without incident he was then transported to the Atascosa County Jail without incident where he remains at press time.
