I’m not going to write about the proposed subdivision in Verdi. Rebecca Pesqueda, news editor for the Pleasanton Express has a write up in this week’s paper and the Dec. 30 and Jan. 13 issues and has done an excellent job. Thank you Rebecca from all of the concerned citizens of Verdi.
I want to give a big shout out to Camila Mares. She did an excellent job at the Jan. 11 meeting at the Commissioners Court in representing our community. Also, would like to thank all of the commissioners and Judge Hurley on their “no action” decision.
No one in our community is against development, but we are against the destruction of oak trees on the property that are over a hundred years old, plus the traffic concerns on this FM road, among other things as you can read about in the Pleasanton Express or go online and watch the meeting at www.youtube.com/ watch?v=3B4wNZtP__ E (Atascosa Commissioner’s Court meeting, Jan. 11).
Support your communities. Support your representatives. Let’s #MAGA (Make Atascosa Great Again).
In Verdi this week: Bible study every Tuesday at 7:00 at the Verdi Community Center.
Word for the week: “Everyone should be respected as an individual, but no one idolized.”– Albert Einstein
