Please note changes of dates and times for early voting. Early voting has been extended an extra week. You can now vote early from June 29–July 2 and from July 6–10 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with extended hours on July 7 from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. For early voting you can vote at the Annex II Bldg. in Jourdanton, Poteet EMS Bldg., Justice of the Peace #2 Bldg. in Lytle and the Justice of the Peace #4 Bldg. in Pleasanton.

Primary election runoff is July 14 from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. at the following locations: Pleasanton Civic Center; Horace Fincher Center in Lytle; Campbellton Community Center; Jourdanton Community Center; Charlotte First Baptist Church; Poteet VFW Bldg; St. Phillips Catholic School in Poteet and Leming School.

For those asking, there will be no voting at the Verdi Community Center. We do have two Verdi residents on the ballot, Miguel “Mike” Mares, Jr. and John Rothenbach. Please show your support for County Constable Precinct 1 by taking the time to get out and vote.

The information on voting dates and times is from the Atascosa Election Office and posted on the website www.atascosacounty. texas.gov.

This means that rights cannot be taken away by or created by government.
