For those of you who may not know, there is a farmer’s market every Saturday in Pleasanton at Royal Frame Works and Artrageous. The market is from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at 903 W. Goodwin. They sell beef, coffee, vegetables, homemade jam and jelly, fudge, plants, breads, cinnamon rolls, pretzels, eggs and homemade sourdough bread made by Verdi resident, Louise Duncan. Actually, the market is organized by Verdi residents Caleb and Gabriela Royal along with the owner of Artrageous, also a Verdi resident, Darla Royal. Gabriela had this to say about the market, “It’s become like a second family to us. We love our vendors and admire the extraordinary work ethic they each have. We all do what we can to make the individual families as successful as possible!” Thank you Caleb and Gabriela.
So you’re wondering what Artrageous is? Well, you’re in for a treat. It’s an art studio that offers learning opportunities for all ages, pottery, painting, sewing, quilting, crochet, knitting, private parties and workshops. There’s not anything this lady cannot do! Also, Caleb has his frame shop there if you want to bring something with you that you’ve been wanting to have framed. Not only does he do framing, he sells Rakowitz honey, Mexican vanilla, Fredricksburg pecans and peach cider and Elderberry syrup for your immune system. Also in his shop, another Verdi resident, Kathryn, known by most as Kate, Jasik has some of her vintage, antique home décor. Plan a trip Saturday and see what you’ve been missing!
