Vaccinated and Poteet Strawberry Festival ready

Local Matters

The Poteet Strawberry Festival is this weekend! I am so excited.

Please pull out the PSF special insert in this week’s issue of the Pleasanton Express. Do what I do. Circle all the things that you want to do while there. It is so overwhelming when you get there and easy to miss some delights at the yummy food booths and some of the fantastic entertainment.

Things on my must-do list include:

• Parade

• The Jeff Martin Magic Show

• Michael Mezmer, Hypnotist

• Marsha’s Petting Zoo

• St. Phillip Ballet Folklorico Guadalupano

• Strawberry Auction

• Taste of Texas Food Show

• LaDezz

• Spazmatics

• Eating one of almost everything

• Hugging Freckles

• Taking photos of all the happy, shiny, funfilled faces

There are so many opportunities to make buying tickets affordable plus parking is free. All food booths are operated by nonprofits who donate the funds to scholarships. So you can feel extra good while eating deliviousness. Check out the special and find out all there is to know before you go the 74th Annnual Poteet Strawberry Festival.

The festival organizers said that health and safety of their guests, volunteers and staff is their highest priority. They will have additional sanitizing machines and are asking attendees to please wear masks. They are requiring all volunteers and staff to wear masks.

I am vaccinated and this makes me so very happy! Look for my face at the festival and please stop me to say hi. I would love to chat and take photos of you and your family.
