The Ultimate 80s Throwback Party at the Park, Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Pleasanton River Park featuring hometown favorites 86’D and Texas Tone Rangers is free, fun, fabulous and family-friendly.
The party starts with a cornhole tournament at 6 p.m and music at 7 p.m. all under Pavilion 3. Come hungry as there will be food trucks and vendors. You are welcome to BYOB, however, no bottles will be allowed. There will be merchandise vendors, a photo booth and face painting. There is an 80s costume contest with a $250 prize for the winner. So, pull out those parachute pants and rock the “bigger the hair the closer to heaven” look.
A huge part of the night is the raffle for a 2003 4×4 Dodge Dakota customized by Nelson’s Truck & Tire and a 2017 Ez-Go S6 six-seat, gasoline, beach golf cart. The raffle benefits the Larry Brown Scholarship Fund and educational experiences for PISD’s special needs students. Raffle tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the event as well as at the Pleasanton Express, Country Girl Designs, Shifter’s American Grill and JM Connected Auto Sales.
Entry fee for the cornhole tournament at 6 p.m. is $20 per team (two players per team) and there’s a 100% payout for 1st and 2nd prizes. For entry, contact Pleasanton Civic Center at 830-569- 5904 or enter via the Scoreholio App.
