Travis E. Longley of Jourdanton passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the age of 94. He was born in Meadow on August 15, 1922 to George Franklin and Annie Lou (Beall) Longley. Travis had traveled to nearly every state. He loved to fish and enjoyed baking, especially baking bread for people. Travis was active in Floresville American Legion. He was a proud member of the 102nd Artillery in the European Theater during World War II.
He is survived by his son, David Lane Longley and wife Kay; stepsons, Fred Collier and wife Sandra and Bud Collier and wife Doris; stepdaughters, Renee Bledsoe, Pat Herndon and husband Virgil, JoNell Humphries and husband Punch and Shirley Trimble and husband Eddie and sister, Bonnie Joyce Liles. Travis is also survived by numerous grandchildren including, Mandy Longley, Jody Longley and Jana Sartor and husband Michael and great-grandson, Garrett Mills. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie Longley; his loving wife of 40 years, Jewell Maxine Longley, son, Michael Dean Longley; daughter, Rebecca Anne Longley; brother, Bobby George Longley and sisters, Joann Geer and Frankie Crane.
Visitation was held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 2 – 8 p.m. Funeral service will also be held at Hurley Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Jourdanton City Cemetery.
