The Primary Election is in full swing with Early VOting underway.
Locally, we have a bunch of elections to decide who will be on the November ballot
Please view our Election Guide on pages 8-9A to help you make your decision on the local races. Chambers are planning events
The Jourdanton Chamber of Commerce is holding their annual barbeque dinner and auction on Sunday, March 2. Tickets are limited so you’ll want to be sure and buy them early. It will be held at St. Matthew’s Parish Hall from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with the live auction starting at noon. Tickets are $8 per plate.
The Pleasanton Chamber of Commere will be the first group to host an event in the new Pleasanton Civic Center. The Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, March 6 with dinner being served at 6 p.m.
Come see folks who are deserved to be honored for their selfless contributions. Tickets are available at the chamber office and are $15 each. Continue to scavenge!
Our popular Online Photo Scavenger Hunt began last week and once again you can win some great prizes donated by our equally great advertisers. This contest’s theme is all about ads … retro, that is. Guess the clues with the ads that will be posted to our Facebook photo album. Email your answers to our web guru and contest manager, Jessica M. Machado at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The contest will continue each week this month and will end on Feb. 27.
For more information and complete rules, please see the ad on page 6B.
