Three athletes from the Pleasanton Eagles softball team were selected to play in the 2019 San Antonio Area High School Softball All-Star Game at the Southwest High School Sports Complex on Tuesday, June 18.
Pleasanton graduates Madison McDonald, Messiah San Miguel and Chloe Bryant were among 40 plus athletes selected to represent the region.
This year’s game marked the 3rd Annual San Antonio Area High School All-Star Game in which 2019 graduates competed in their last game wearing their high school uniforms.
All three Eagles received honors for the Class 4A Collin Street/Texas Sports Writers Associaion All- State Softball team for the 2019 season.
San Miguel received 2nd Team All-State for playing outfield, McDonald received 3rd team for playing first base and Bryant received honorable mention for playing shortstop.
“I am very proud of these three ladies on receiving this honor. These ladies worked very hard during their high school careers and it’s awesome they received this honor,” said PHS head softball coach Ronda Savage. “I am very proud of their accomplishments on the field as Eagles and even more proud of the wonderful young women they have become off the field. They will be greatly missed and I wish them the best in their new adventures. Always BELIEVE kids, be the spark that lights the fire.”
