Thomas Perks




 

 

Mr. Thomas F. Perks, age 78 of Pleasanton passed away June 26, 2013. He was born October 3, 1934 to Enich and Olive Perks in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Lola (Hennen) Perks; twin sons, Michael Perks of Florida, Marshall Perks and wife Debbie of Washington State; step-son, Leonard Anderson and wife Carol, step-daughter Linda Stepp and husband Paul of Lovely, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Thomas was a retired Air Force veteran of twenty years and five days. He served his country proudly and was stationed for three years in England and three years in North Africa accompanied by his wife and children. For 21 years he was a rancher who raised Brangus cattle. Three years ago, he retired from ranching and moved to Pleasanton.

Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all. In honoring Thomas’ wishes, he was cremated and a memorial service was held Saturday, June 29, at the Church of Christ in Pleasanton with his family gathered for the occasion.
