A re you as confused as I am when standing at a craps table? It doesn’t matter if I’m at a local party or in Las Vegas, I just don’t get it.
I’m not much for spending money on real gambling either.
If you are like me or if you LOVE to gamble then please make plans to attend the first fundraising event for the Pleasanton ISD Education Foundation event that will be held next month, September 13 at the Pleasanton Civic Center.
There were be all sorts of tables to play – even a Texas Hold ‘Em tourney!
Tickets are $50 each and include delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and of course – gaming chips. Each year, teachers are awarded grants to augment their classroom and teaching expertise.
These funds – raised through private and corporate sources – help to achieve our goals:
•Strengthen and enrich learning through the development of innovative programs
•Support additional training and resources for educators of Pleasanton ISD •Provide the tools to prepare students for future success
•Build community support and positive attention for the Pleasanton ISD
The way I see it, as a board member for the foundation, I’m looking forward to dressing swanky and going back to the glamourous days of old Vegas.
Imagine the Rat Pack at the table next to you or Frank Sinatra singing in his sultry voice.
Sound like fun? It will be!
