The Way I See It

Things that go bump

I ’ve had a few, shall we say, close encounters of another kind in my life.

When it comes to ghost spectres, I am not one bit skeptical. I’ll share just a bit of my experiences. Sitting in our Express office late at night when I’m the only one here, I’ll often hear a squeaky chair in the back portion of our office. We blame it on Wally Daetwyler – former owner and publisher/editor most times.

There have been numerous times when my calculator will go berserk and I’ll look at it and it is turned off. Yeah. Spooky.

So I’m a bit excited about attending the Pleasanton Friends of the Library event this Saturday, January 17, at the Pleasanton Civic Center.

The free event will feature Brad Klinge – of Ghost Lab fame – and now of Everyday Paranormal.

He will also visit a building in Pleasanton and report his findings during the event along with other occurances he has witnessed.

I met Klinge a few years ago on a San Antonio River Barge. Pat O’Brien’s sponsored the Mardi Gras barge and the Klinge Brothers had an event at the restaurant – known to have ghosts that frequent it quite often.

So, if you are game to learn about ghosts and want to meet Klinge, be sure to go to this event. It is free, but seating is limited. Tickets to guarantee a seat can be picked up at the library. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the presentation being held from 5-9 p.m.

The way I see it, even if you don’t belive in ghosts, it will be a fun way to spend a Saturday night, right?
