Once again it is time to search for our 2013 Cowboy of the Year – one that exudes quality, knowledge and the essence of a genuine cowboy. Not one that just looks or talks the part — but, a real cowboy that rides a horse, ropes and brands cattle, burns prickly-pear for the herd, mends fences and would not trade it for anything.

The Pleasanton Young Farmer’s Cowboy of the Year Open Rodeo and Festival is just around the corner and we need your nomination. The Pleasanton Express, as usual, is ready to host the Cowboy of the Year selection as part of the Young Farmer’s event.

Nominations are being accepted for the 2013 Cowboy of the Year as well as for inductees into the South Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.

The winners will be announced at the Friday night rodeo, August 16.
