The Jourdanton softball team reached new heights this season, and now the Squaws have a pair of players who have made some more school history.
Recent graduates Bailey Longoria and Kristina Ramirez became the first players in Jourdanton history to be selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state team.
The pair were two of five seniors on the Squaws team that qualified for the first Region IV-3A Final in school history.
Longoria, a pitcher and Texas A&M-Kingsville signee, threw three no-hitters during her senior season, including a perfect game.
Ramirez hit leadoff for Jourdanton and played in the outfield.
She scored the series-clinching run in the regional semifinals to send the Squaws to the regional final.
