Pleasanton City Manager Johnny Huizar presents a plaque of appreciation to city worker Martin Martinez who filled in on very short notice at the Animal Control Facility for three months.     I saw your article about Martin Martinez receiving a plaque of appreciation for his assistance at the Pleasanton Animal Shelter. This is a very well deserved recognition and I applaud Martin’s service. Congratulations, Martin!

    The reason though why I know what a dedicated and hard worker he is, is because I had the pleasure of working with him when he was working at the Jourdanton Animal Shelter (yes, there is a shelter there). Your commentary above says that “Without prior experience,” he did an exceptional job.

    Just wanted to make sure you reference your editorial correctively and make sure your facts are accurate.
