Cotillion builds upon students’ basic understanding of the social skills that contribute to character, improve communication and develop successful relationships. Developing a sense of social awareness in this interactive class allows students to apply their knowledge in everyday life.
Cotillion is offering four (4) half scholarships ($115 each) and two (2) full scholarships ($230 each) to attend the South Texas Cotillion starting February 21, 2019. Scholarships are reserved for children who need assistance with the class fee ($230).
Atascosa County 5th and 6th grade parents should watch for a brochure on the South Texas Cotillion in their child’s backpack during the month of December.
For scholarship consideration, please do the following:
Prepare a one to two paragraph statement describing 1) why the child is a candidate for a scholarship and 2) how the child plans to utilize the skills learned at Cotillion.
Include a brief letter from a teacher, pastor or coach explaining why the child is a good candidate for the scholarship.
Include the child’s name and parent’s contact information on the email application.
Send both letters via email to Fran Yanity, Cotillion Chairwoman, firstname.lastname@example.org by December 31, 2018 for consideration. Scholarships will be decided by January 15, 2019. Email notification to each applicant will be sent no later than January 21, 2019.
