Jourdanton City Manager position open

At the Jourdanton City Council meeting held on January 22, Jourdanton City Manager Kendall Schorsch turned in his resignation to the council. He announced that his last day will be February 28.

Mayor Robert “Doc” Williams and the council members accepted his resignation with a “heavy heart,” thanking him for his two years of service. In turn, he said that he “truly enjoyed his tenure with the city,” and thanked the council for their encouragement in his career and personal life.

The city manager opening will be posted on the Texas Municipal League website as soon as possible, using the application process from the previous opening. The position will be posted for 45 days.
