Sam Houston, the Democratic nominee for Texas Attorney General stopped in Pleasanton on Oct. 17. The West Texas native grew up in the small town of Colorado City. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor Law School. He has been a successful attorney for 26 years with his own firm in Houston. Among the issues of importance to him: ensuring that the divisions managing consumer protection, environmental regulation and child support are administered in an open manner, as well as working to end the school-finance lawsuit in a way that meets the needs of Texas schoolchildren.
