The council voted to direct City Staff to enter into negotiations with the San Antonio based firm and bring an amended AIA contract for approval by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, Texas no later than November 1, 2012.

The recommendation came from the Citizens’ Committee chosen by the Council after the August 16 meeting. The committee was comprised of several community leaders and citizens. They are Karen Villareal, Bill Lamb, Deborah Herber, Roger Wells, Ray Samsel, Frank Tudyk, Bill Carroll and Rudy Klein.

RVK was one of the consultants hired to perform studies on the downtown structures back in May. They presented three options – Reuse, Renovate or Rebuild – and after careful consideration, the renovation was the option the council accepted.
