Pleasanton City Manager Johnny Huizar and Community Development Supervisor John Raney would like to inform the community that the fee-based rubbish collection and transfer facility will hold a soft opening this Friday, Sept. 29. They will be accepting trash and bulky items during this time.
The facility will also be open on Saturday, Sept. 30. Raney asked that residents dropping off items please be patient, as it is a soft opening and training is underway. Hours on both days will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The facility is located at 550 E. Hunt St. and it will allow both Pleasanton and Atascosa County residents to dispose of their bulky waste and rubbish items.
Please note that only credit cards and debit cards will be accepted for payment, so no checks or cash will be accepted. City residents must show proof of residence within the city limits of Pleasanton and certify the material is their personal household waste in order to reduce the collection and transfer rates.
A grand opening will be held soon, with dates to be determined. Normal business hours for the facility will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (It will not be open this Thursday to allow for training).
