Rosie Espinosa Cordova, 84 passed away in San Antonio Sunday October 29, 2017. She was born Monday, October 23, 1933 to Gregorio and Santa (Garcia) Espinosa.
Rosie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the family and also a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Along with her husband Max she owned a Phillips 66 gas station where her main job was the bookkeeping. She loved being outdoors, shopping, traveling, singing and dancing and living the country life. Rosie was also very spiritual and an avid prayer warrior.
Rosie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Maximilliano Gutierrez Cordova; sons, Maximilliano Espinosa Cordova, Jr. and wife Dolores T., James Espinosa Cordova; daughter, Rosita Cordova Thomas and husband Douglas; son Ricardo Espinosa Cordova and wife Patricia D.; siblings, Isabel, Eloisa, Marcelo, Carmen, Mary Ellen and Dora.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angelic, Essica, Alyssa, Marissa, Samuel, Justin, Gabriel and Alyanna and great-grandchildren, Seth, Serenity, Kylie, Knox and Hailey.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gregorio and Santa (Garcia) Espinosa, and sister, Elvira.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to The National Kidney Foundation.
Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 4 – 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 626 Market Street in Pleasanton on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10 a.m., interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.
