Rolando G. Guerrero

Rolando G. Guerrero, age 57, of Pleasanton, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. He was born June 22, 1960 in Edinburg, TX to Elojio and Nazaria (Garza) Guerrero.

 Roland joined the U.S. Army in 1980 and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. He received many commendations during his service. Roland worked with Texas Department of Transportation in Pleasanton for over 10 years. He was a member of the VFW in Jourdanton and the Lions Club. He also coached Little League baseball in Jourdanton for many years.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tony Guerrero, Carlos Guerrero and Ricardo Guerrero and sister, Nora Soza.

Roland is survived by his wife of 18 years Rita (Calvillo) Guerrero and her children- sons, Albert Ramos, Jr. and Matthew Ross Ramos and wife Malory and daughter, Laura Ramos Mendiola and husband Maximillio. He is also survived by his brothers, Ramiro Guerrero and wife Brenda, Elojio Guerrero, Jr., Armando Garza and wife Frances, sisters, Dora Guerrero, Gloria Partida and Irma Salazar and husband Manuel; grandchildren, Morgan Ramos, Sienna Mendiola, Ezra Mendiola, Mattie Ramos, Aubrey Solis, Rayah Mendiola and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Rd., Pleasanton from 8:00 a.m.-12”00 p.m. with a eulogy at 11:00 a.m. by son-in-law Maximilliano Mendiola. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
