Roger D. Brister, 77, of Poteet passed away at his home on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was born in San Antonio on December 31, 1944, to Benjamine F. and Ozelle L. (Williams) Brister.

Roger married Glenda Ivy Brister on April 6, 1966, in Pearsall. He worked in the oilfield in west and south Texas until 1979. He then started house moving. Roger owned and operated Brister House Moving and Leveling and moved several houses through Pleasanton and the surrounding areas, he was in the Pleasanton Express frequently for moving houses through downtown Pleasanton. Roger also loved playing the guitar and singing.

Roger is survived by his daughters, Ronda (David) Brunner of Poteet, Christina (Billey) McClellan of Moore and Bonny Edwards and significant other David Shoemake of Poteet; sister, Karen (Gary) Jenkins of Jourdanton; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenda; his parents, Benjamin F. and Ozelle L. Brister; sister, Geniva “Susie” Jenkins and husband WR; and brothers, Earl and Carl Brister.

A memorial service will be at Rutledge Cemetery in Poteet on January 15 at 11 a.m.
