Richard E. Hagy, born November 6, 1932 to Clayton and Rita (Knox) Hagy in Atlantic City, NJ passed away in Pleasanton at the age of 85.

Richard served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years and during this time was an Air Rescue Medic in the Korean War and afterwards worked with the Office of Special Investigation (O.S.I.) for the remainder of his years in the Air Force.

Having eight children and not yet ready to fully retire, he continued to work as a Security/Fraud Investigator for several retail stores.  He then took a Civil Service job at Kelly A.F.B. as a Secutiry Specialist for 15 years.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Doris (Castille) Hagy.    He is survived by his children, Richard Hagy and wife Annette, Elizabeth Torres and husband Gilbert, William Hagy, James Hagy, Michael Hagy and wife Kim, Thomas Hagy and wife Tracy, Katherine Bratten and husband Robert, John Hagy and wife Libby; grandchildren, Trey Hagy, Aaron Hagy and wife Amber, Hannah Hagy, Donna Holzer and husband Justin, Christian Torres and wife Mary, Kristene DeLos Santos, John Thomas Hagy, Jennifer Hagy, Clayton Hagy and wife Brittany, Christopher Hagy, Erin Hagy, Austin Hagy, Devon Hagy, Tara Lynn Hagy, Connor Hagy, Bobby Bratten and wife B.J., Monica Parsons and husband Bruce, Madeline Hagy, Sydney Hagy, Jack Hagy; great-grandchildren, Asher Hagy, Nicholas and wife Amanda Sarabia, Andrew Sowles, Gabrielle and Mateo DeLos Santos, Sofia Torres, Lucas and Charlotte Sarabia, Berkley Ann Hagy, Manhattyn Woodland, Jett Woodland, Quentin Bratten, Logan Bratten, Caleb Parsons and Camden Parsons.  He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Bernice Andry and Norma Landry as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home at 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.  Interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will be on May 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
