Reynaldo Garza, Sr., age 77, of Pleasanton passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, in San Antonio. He was born in Pleasanton on Monday, Dec. 20, 1943, to Felis and Amalia (Salinas) Garza, Sr. Reynaldo worked at Williams Hardware for many years. He was a longtime member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, where he played the guitar and sang in the choir. Reynaldo especially loved to be outside in his garden.
Reynaldo is survived by his wife of 56 years, Manuela (Mendez) Garza; daughter, Carmen Alaniz and husband Ernesto; sons, Reynaldo Garza, Jr. and wife Melinda, and Rene Garza, Sr. and wife Julie Camarillo and sisters, Victoria Mendez and husband Joe and Olga Reyes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Reynaldo was preceded in death by his parents, Felis and Amalia (Salinas) Garza, Sr.; brother, Felis Garza, Jr.; sisters, Belia Garza, Virginia Talamantez; son, Fernando Garza and great-grandchild, baby Vasquez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2 at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 3 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Pleasanton City Cemetery, at the corner of Bryant and Adams in Pleasanton.
