Raffle tickets on sale at Express

Larry Brown Memorial benefit Sept. 28 features 86d



PHS grads formed a band – 86d – for their own reunion two years ago and they are coming back to rock the arena – rodeo arena – that is.

The group is set to perform after Pleasanton’s homecoming football game, Friday, Sept. 28, at the Atascosa County Arena, 318 Showbarn Rd. in Pleasanton.

To help raise funds to provide scholarships on behalf of beloved high school principal Larry Brown who served as principal from 1977-1994.

Band members include JC Martinez, John Mayse, Barry Milam, Richard Garcia and Randy Reed.

Opening for the show will be two more PHS grads, Bobby Kinsel and Jon Brauchle’s What About Bob. Showtime is 10 p.m.

While the concert is free, attendees are urged to purchase raffle tickets to win a 2008 Ford King Ranch F150 4×4. You must be present to win the truck, but there will be some cash prizes where you will not have to be present to win.
