Raffle tickets for the Larry Brown Memorial and Teacher’s Grant Fund are flying into the hands of individuals excited about attending the September 28 dance and party honoring this favored PHS principal. You can still buy a $10 raffle ticket for a chance to win a 2008 King Ranch F-150 donated by PHS 1987 graduate John Mayse. The truck is parked in front of Jason Smith’s Pleasanton Truck Company located at 905 2nd Street in Pleasanton right in front of the Plestex Theatre. Go by the Truck Company today. Mark Carroll has underwritten the free dance featuring PHS alumni bands 86’d and “What about Bob?” that will be held after the Friday night Pleasanton Eagle Homecoming game on Sept. 28 at the Atascosa Show Barn Arena. People attending are encouraged to come out and set up their tables and chairs at this BYOB event. The gate will open early Friday afternoon.

“Hey, just a heads up,” says Mayse. “So far in donations/ ticket sales, the class of 1987is kickin’ everyone’s a** with about $500-$6000 in donations and we have put out the challenge to try to beat us. Only 1986 is nipping at our heels!”

Looks like there is a throwdown and a showdown for Mr. Larry Brown. Challenge accepted. Game on!
