Save the date for the 53rd Cowboy Homecoming Festival held at the Atascosa County Show Barn, March 8 and 9 with steer roping beginning on March 7. The entertainment this year is David Lee Garza y Los Musicales with openers La Tropa F on Friday, March 8, and Cory Morrow with openers Mario Flores & The Soda Creek Band on Saturday March 9. Presale tickets are $15 and will be available both on-line and at the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $20 at the door.

The 2019 Homecoming is putting both the cowboy and the fun back into Pleasanton’s oldest festival. The Cowboy Homecoming Queen’s Coronation will be held on Friday in the arena. Day bands, ranch roping, steer roping, goat roping, a washers tournament, Texas Hold’em tournament, kid’s carnival and fabulous and famous food vendors are just part of the fun and excitement. Best of all entry to the grounds is free. The Cowboy Homecoming Parade will be held Saturday morning, March 8 in downtown Pleasanton.

The Turn N Burn cookoff will also be held in conjunction with Cowboy Homecoming with 150 teams competing. Three hundred lucky and hungry judges are needed for the cook-off competition. Call the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce at 830-569- 2163 if interested.
