PRECILIANO MEDINA

 

 

Preciliano “Percy” Medina of Pleasanton passed away October 10, 2019 in San Antonio. He was born January 12, 1953 to Preciliano Medina Sr. and Evalina (Garza) Leija in San Antonio.

He is preceded in death by his father Preciliano Medina, Sr., stepfather Paul Guerrero, and father-in-law Lorenzo Martinez.

Percy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Roberta Medina; children Erica Medina Mitchell and husband Tom, Priscilla Ann Castillo and husband Felix, Gabriel Medina and fiancé Brittani Goin, and Mark Medina and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Joseph Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Samuel Percy Mitchell, Lucas Castillo, Emery Medina and Hailey; mother, Evalina Leija; siblings, Patricia Moreno and husband Juan, Teresa Suarez, Diana Sanchez and husband Alex, Michael Guerrero, John David Guerrero and wife Gina, and Phyllis Leija; mother-in-law, Antonia Martinez; brotherin law, Richard Martinez and sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Reyna and Patricia Martinez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

While Percy may have been born in San Antonio, he built a loving and strong life in Leming. He worked hard his entire life to do one thing: provide for his beautiful wife, Roberta and his children. He was blessed with a good mind for business, and was always able to support his family, and through all of his success, he always remained humble, never forgetting where he came from. After becoming Constable for Atascosa County Pct. 1, he strove to live his professional and private life by his campaign slogan, “To Serve With Dignity And Respect.” He was loved by many, and through his legacy, he will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be Wednesday, October 16 from 4-9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Pleasanton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 17 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Pleasanton. Interment will follow Mass at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio. The family will have a reception following the services at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Hall in Leming.
