Texas Reads One Book is a unique opportunity for families across the state to read “The Lemonade Crime” together!

The kickoff was Monday, Feb. 10, when students viewed a videotaped reading of the first chapter of “The Lemonade Crime” by Jacqueline Davies.

Through the Texas Reads One Book program, school faculty, staff, students and students’ families are reading and enjoying the same book together. The program actively engages families in the reading process, while also creating a culture of reading.

Families are asked to read a chapter from the book each night. PK-5 students participated in daily trivia questions, discussions, and other activities to ensure that reading takes center stage in the home, school and community.
