The Poteet Little League Junior Boys baseball team had an outstanding season this year that came to end with a loss to Five Diamonds team from San Antonio.

The team ends their season with an overall record of 10-5.

Hammonds’ team was the only one to make it the All-Stars from Poteet this year and the Poteet Little League Board is extremely impressed with them.

“The board is very proud of how far the team went this year and how well they competed,” said Poteet Little League Vice President, Justin Ramirez. “They represented our town really well. A majority of the team were 8th graders this year and they will be moving onto the high school level this upcoming year. We’re all looking forward to watching them play for our school and town.”

The Poteet Junior boys went 2-2 during the All- Star season. The team went head to head with Five Diamonds. Their second and third games were successful, winning 16-6 against Jourdanton and 10-0 against Somerset, moving them up in the bracket. The fourth game, the Poteet boys fell to Five Diamonds again, knocking them out of the bracket and ending their season.
