On February 14, the Poteet FFA took 10 members to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Tour Guiding. Each member was in charge of an elementary class and took the kids around the grounds. The students were able to see and touch the livestock, learn how a cow was milked, tour the hall of fame, visit all the horses and learn all about the agricultural life we live. They got to see how their everyday life usually starts with agriculture; from the clothes they wear to the food they eat. The tour guides that represented the Poteet FFA were Hayley Hammons, Brady Stevens, Madison Maglievaz, Hayley Wilson, Autumn Diaz, Brooke Rasmussen, Hannah Camarillo, Brianna Garcia, Kaitlyn and Julia Smith.
The senior Poteet FFA Officers, Hannah Grace Watts, Derek Scharmann, and Markus Aguliar are applying for the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Tour Guiding Scholarship. This will give them a chance to receive $1,000 for their college journey.
