The Lady Eagle Cross Country team finished third in the standings at the Bandera meet this past weekend. The Lady Eagles racked up 99 points. Second place Lytle had 88 points and the hosts Bandera had 76 points. The Pleasanton boys team finished their event in 11th place with 278 points.
Kassidy Vickers was the top finishing Lady Eagle with a time of 12:58, good for sixth place. Kendall Espey finished in 16th place after crossing the finish line in 13:17. Kara Medina was just four seconds slower than Espey with a time of 13:21, good for 19th place. Kara Hinojosa crossed in 13:28 which was 25th fastest among all of the runners. Mary Martinez took 33rd place with a time of 13:45.
Lillian Krause finished her race in 13:58 followed by Farah Standley at 14:11. Aryanna Partida ran a 14:26 and Teliyah Wynder finished the race in 14:34. Itzel Perez ran the course in 14:52.
Albert Vielma led the Eagles in the boys race with a time of 19:28 which was 41st among all of the runners. Zeke Garcia was 53rd with a time of 20:08. Garcia was one second faster than teammate Gilbert Martinez who finished in 54th with a time of 20:09. Joseph Cuellar crossed in 20:20 and Jayden Ogg completed the race in 20:45. Ian Rodriguez was six seconds behind Ogg with a time of 20:51.
