The 2020 season looked to be good for the Pleasanton men’s and women’s soccer teams, as the women claimed their fourth consecutive district title and the men were poised for a playoff run.

In total between the two teams, 33 players were honored with All-District 29-4A honors for 2020. The women tallied 17 selections and the men picked up 16. The women were named to five superlatives and the men claimed three.

Senior forward Madelyn Bird claimed the Overall MVP honors for the Women Eagles. Along with Bird, freshman Brylee Miller was named MVP forward, senior Delanee Olivarri was named MVP Editor’s note: Headshots of every Pleasanton All-District and All- State award will run next week. midfielder, senior Kate McNeill was named MVP defender and junior Sydney Merecka was named MVP goalkeeper.

For the men, junior Silberio Banda was named the offensive MVP in 29- 4A, senior Preston Thompson was named goalkeeper co-MVP and freshman Timothy Klein was named newcomer of the year.
