The City of Pleasanton will hold a small business webinar on Tuesday, June 30, at 10 a.m., titled “A New Normal.” All businesses in Atascosa County are invited.
The webinar is designed to explore alternatives to operating businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many businesses have had to adjust and adapt since Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of emergency in response to COVID-19. Since then, many local, state and federal resources have been deployed to assist businesses during these turbulent times.
The City of Pleasanton has partnered with People- Fund to launch the Pleasanton Relief Fund, which provides zero interest loans for up to six months. The State of Texas has also launched a similar small business loan program through LiftFund. The federal government has also launched the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) that is providing unemployment benefits to individuals, small business relief and assisting local governments in inter COVID-19 response.
“Our goal is to provide local businesses information on public and private sector resources that can assist business owners during the current pandemic,” said Pleasanton Mayor Travis Hall. “Our consultants EMC Strategy Group will share ideas that businesses may consider incorporating during these uncertain times.”
State and federal agencies agree that communities will likely face another COVID-19 wave this fall and it is important that businesses do all they can to prepare for all potential challenges.
Registration for the webinar is required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
