Pleasanton Primary School will hold registration for pre-K, kindergarten and first grade students new to the district on Tuesday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 28. Hours will be 9 a.m.-12 noon and 1-5:30 p.m.
Registration will take place at the Pleasanton Primary Campus, 1209 Downey Dr.
Pleasanton Primary is pleased to announce that open enrollment for pre-K will be available for the 2021-2022 school year. Limited spaces will be available for students who do not meet eligibility guidelines for pre-K. You are encouraged to have all required paperwork at the time of registration to be eligible for an open enrollment space.
Pre-Kindergarten students must be 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2021 and meet one of the following criteria:
•Unable to speak and comprehend the English language
•Income (Based on the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines – which means a student who is eligible to participate in the national free or reduced-price lunch program)
•The child of an active duty or deceased member of the U.S. Armed Forces
•The child of a member of the armed forces who was injured or killed while on active duty
•Is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family Protective Services
•Is considered homeless
•Is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as: a) a peace officer b) a firefighter c) an emergency medical first responder
Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2021.
All Students (Pre-K, Kindergarten & First Grade)
All students registering at Pleasanton Primary need to bring:
•Proof of residency with physical address (Example: current electric, water, or gas statement or a rent receipt)
•Certified birth certificate
•Social Security card
•Current immunization record
•Parent/guardian’s valid photo ID
•Income (Pre-K only)- for the household (Example: paycheck stubs, Food Stamps or TANF Eligibility letter)
A certified birth certificate can be ordered online for the same cost as getting it from the Atascosa County Courthouse. You can order one at www.texas.gov. Those with any questions about Primary Round-Up can call 830-569- 1325.
