Planes grounded by FAA at Pleasanton Municipal AirportFree Access

NEWS RELEASE from the Mayor’s office:

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, the City of Pleasanton was notified by an Inspector with the Federal Aviation Administration that several airplanes had been grounded at Pleasanton’s Municipal Airport.  This action was based on an individual pilot who had filed a complaint with the FAA alleging issuance of a forged document from an individual who owns a private business and operates out of the airport.

Pleasanton’s Mayor Travis Hall stated, “Neither the City of Pleasanton nor any of its employees is involved in the complaint. However, if asked to do so, we will cooperate fully in the investigation”.

Transient flights are still able to land, fuel and take off.

The Pleasanton Express will continue telling this story as it unfolds.
