Pleasanton ISD Turf war won

At tonight’s meeting of the Pleasanton School District, the board voted four to two to go with artificial turf for the football stadium.

Pete Pawelek made a motion to go with the natural grass, with Pat Cox seconding. That motion failed. Gerald Guerra moved to go with the design/build procurement method to purchase synthetic turf and make other renovations to the field. Voting for were Blasa Chapa, Ralph Unger and Felipa Garza. Voting against was Pawelek and Cox.

The maximum guaranteed price is $3 million.
