Pleasanton ISD Education Foundation: A tourney ‘fore’ kids

The Way I See It

If you’re a golfer (or even if you aren’t) you should come out this

Friday, April 22 and play in the Pleasanton ISD Education Foundation School’s Out for Summer golf tournament.

School may still be in session for a few more weeks, but the weather is great and the course is beautiful.

This is our third year to hold the event (I say our because I am lucky to be a part of this foundation.) And last year’s was great fun and a great time.

I know very little about the game of golf but hanging out with them and selling extras before the tournament had all of us hopping. Funds raised from the tourney go to help give out scholarships to students and to award grants to our teachers at Pleasanton ISD.

The four person scramble will have a noon shotgun start at the Pleasanton Country Club.

Prizes and extra raffles will be available plus lots of contests. A meal and ceremony will follow the event. To sign up for the tourney, contact Kim Phillips at (830)569-1233 or email at kphillips@pisd.us.

The Pleasanton ISD Education Foundation is a tax exempt charitable organization which supports education excellence with the Pleasanton ISD.

To find out more about the foundation you can also contact Kim at the above address.

You can also follow them on Facebook.

The way I see it, these fundraisers are held to assist our local educators and students. If you can help by participating, donating or becoming involved, we welcome you with open arms!
