The City of Pleasanton will hold its third USDA Housing Assistance Program Workshop on September 26, 2019, at the Pleasanton Civic Center, at 10 a.m.
USDA Area Housing Specialist Jimmy Kolodziej will lead the workshop and will share important information about the USDA’s Housing Assistance Program, which includes: Home Ownership, Home Repair, Self Help Program, and Multi-Family Housing. Workshop participants will be given the opportunity to apply for assistance immediately after the workshop. Applicants may qualify for up to $15,000 1% interest loans on 20-year terms for home repairs.
“We are pleased to offer this opportunity to the city’s residents, especially those in need of financial assistance,” says EMC Owner & Founder Janice M. Gonzalez. “We have consistently had serval residents attending these monthly workshops, so we know that there is a need to continue these as often as possible,” adds Gonzalez. EMC has already scheduled additional USDA workshops through the end of the year. Local realtors are strongly encouraged to attend these workshops.
“The USDA’s Office of Rural Development Area Director Guadalupe Valdez and his team have been great in working with the city and EMC to meet our residents’ requests for assistance,” says Pleasanton City Manager Johnny Huizar. “I’ve charged EMC’s team to coordinate all workshops and individual follow up with our residents to assure that they are properly guided,” adds Huizar.
