Pleasanton’s freshman football team beat Pearsall 27-6 on Sept. 13 at home.
The Eagles led 8-0 after the first quarter and 14-6 at halftime. They led 21-6 after the third quarter.
J.J. Morales led the Eagles with three touchdowns, including one of five yards and two 40-yarders.
“The blocking by the wide receivers was pretty good today. A.J. Ayala and R.J. Franco blocked well,” said coach Seth Rutland. The blocking by Alic Salinas and Jonathon Guzman were also noted as highlights.
Marco “Buck” Quinonez scored a two-point pass to Reagan Moore. Quinonez also scored a long touchdown run.
Moore also had an interception.
“Aiden Cavada had a solid game from his inside linebacker spot,” Rutland said.
Pleasanton’s freshman football team is 3-0 and now prepares to play Devine on the road on Sept. 20.
