Mario Obledo, San Antonio Food Bank gives thanks to the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Parks and Recreation for hosting today’s food distribution in the Pleasanton River Park. According to Pleasanton Parks and Recreation Director, Greg Leach, the outreach provided 363 families with large boxes filled with fresh meat, fruits, vegetables, milk, water, canned and packaged goods. The pandemic and winter storm created a food shortage for many families in South Texas. The City of Pleasanton thanks the more than 73 volunteers who helped distribute the food today and gives a huge shout out to Cafe Chris for providing a free lunch to these amazing helpers.
