Pleasanton Express Christmas Story Contest!

The Pleasanton Express invites its readers to enter the “Brush Country Christmas Story” Contest.

The story can be fiction or true; humorous or serious. The Pleasanton Express will pay the two winners $50 each– one for the serious story category and one for the humorous story category.

Stories are limited to a maximum of 750 words and the deadline for receiving entries is 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 17.

The Pleasanton Express will publish the two winning stories in the Christmas edition. The stories must be the original work of the author and must be told in the author’s own words.

Please include your name, address and day and evening contact phone numbers. You will also need to indicate the category you are entering– serious or humorous.

Entries should be brought to the Pleasanton Express office at 114 E. Goodwin St. in Pleasanton; faxed to 830- 569-6100 or send by mail to Pleasanton Express, “Brush Country Christmas Story,” PO Box 880, Pleasanton, TX 78064.

    I just found that the date for the Brush Country Christmas Stories has been extended and would like to submit mine by email.
    Name: Mrs. Wilda de la Cruz, PO Box 865, Somerset, TX 78069 – 0865 I don’t have internet at home but use the library for my computer work. So I have no website and am a retired teacher from the Somerset Elementary School. Could you send a newspaper to me by mail if my story gets published. Thank you, & have a wonderful Christmas.
