Pleasanton’s eighth grade football teams lost at Boerne South on Tuesday.
The eighth grade A-team lost 24-0 to Boerne South.
“The Eagles fought throughout the game. The offensive standouts were Diego Luna, Eric Flores, Bryndan Olle and the offensive line. The defensive standouts were Jayce Krauskopf, Adrian Flores, John Van Burkleo, Ethan Montoya and Quaid Campbell. The Eagles had multiple big plays, but couldn’t find the end zone. The defense made adjustments throughout the game and made the Chargers work for every yard and point that they got,” Pleasanton coach Stephen Barron said.
The eighth grade B-team lost 30-0 to Boerne South.
“The Eagles made adjustments on defense and shut down the Chargers offense after the first quarter. The offense had trouble sustaining drives. The offensive standouts were Froilan Aguirre, Dillon Benavidez and Donovan Alaniz. The defensive standouts were Jayden Koti, Ivan Perez, John Gonzales and Matthew Guedea,” said Barron.
The eighth grade A-team plays next on Oct. 23 at San Antonio Cornerstone. The eighth grade B-team plays next on Nov. 8 at La Vernia.
